Gilmore blasts Govt on inaccurate growth forecasts

Taoiseach Brian Cowen today defended the Government's record on economic forecasting in the face of criticism from the Opposition.

Labour leader Eamon Gilmore said the figures provided by the Government on economic growth to date had been way off the mark, and his party could not engage in responsible discussion until it knew the up to date projections.
