FG to launch public service reform proposals

Fine Gael is calling for an independent assessment of the country's finances.

The party's spokesperson on economic planning Richard Bruton said it is up to bodies like the ESRI to brief the Oireachtas of the full scale of the problem Ireland is facing - and how best to tackle the issue.
