Probe into Avoca killing continues
Investigations are continuing today into the death of Brian Doyle in the Co. Wicklow village of Avoca.
The 48-year-old died after being punched in the head outside Fitzgerald's bar some time after 9pm on Sunday night.
It is believed the victim had been drinking in the pub for several hours when a row broke out over a football match.
Gardaí say they are following a definite line of inquiry and are also investigating claims the victim may have been struck by a vehicle as he lay on the ground.
Any witnesses to the incident are being urged to contact the Gardaí.
