Search resumes for woman missing in Clare

A search has resumed this morning for a woman reported missing in Co Clare.

The 50-year-old was last seen at around midday yesterday and a search was mounted after relatives expressed concern for her safety.

Gardaí and members of the Killaloe unit of the Irish Coast Guard searched an area around O'Briensbridge on the River Shannon between Killaloe and Limerick City yesterday evening.

The Shannon-based Coast Guard helicopter was also involved in the operation and may re-join the effort later this morning.
