Varadkar: FG will not be strongarmed on budget plan

Fine Gael is rejecting the suggestion that they must sign up to the four-year budgetary plan the Government is preparing.

A spokesman for the European Commission yesterday warned that the strategy, due to be published next month, will have to be implemented regardless of which political parties are in power.
