Dissidents 'will not succeed'

Armed groups in the North will not be allowed to succeed, Northern Ireland Secretary Owen Paterson vowed today.

Mr Paterson told the Conservative Party conference in Britain that his government is determined to bring the North “back into the mainstream of UK politics” – which would involve disrupting and pursuing violent dissidents who are trying to undermine progress.
