Head of Banking Commission of Investigation paid €1,000 a day
The Department of Finance has confirmed that €1,000 a day is being paid to the head of the Banking Commission of Investigation.
In a Parliamentary Question reply to Fine Gael, finance officials also revealed Peter Nyberg is receiving a monthly allowance of €4,000 for travel and accommodation.
The inquiry, led by the former Finnish senior civil servant, began its work last month and is due to complete its report by next March.
