Brothel teen taken into care

A 17-year-old girl has been taken into care by the HSE after been found by Gardaí in a suspected brothel in Limerick.

The girl was found in an apartment near the Dock Road along with three older women.

One of the women is now awaiting deportation while Garda files are to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions on the remaining two women arrested.

Mobile phones, cash, computers and other items were seized in the Garda crackdown on prostitution in the city.
