SEI urges householders to improve energy efficiency
Householders are being urged to invest more to improve the energy efficiency in their homes.
A new survey by the Sustainable Energy Ireland has found that more than a thousand applications are being made for home savings grants every week.
Despite this however, the authority said more investment is needed if Ireland is to meet its target to insulate a million homes in a decade.
Chairman of the Institute of International and European Affairs Brendan Halligan has said: "There has been a huge take-up on grant schemes so far, but there has to be more."
