Man arrested after stand-off at Cork kebab outlet

A 44-year-old Turkish man who chained himself to a Cork city centre restaurant has been arrested by gardaí.

The man entered the Istanbul restaurant on Oliver Plunkett St at around 5.15pm yesterday with three other men and threatened to set the building alight. He was carrying two cans of petrol.
