Dept make efforts to get cheap school sites from NAMA

The Department of Education is in consultation with NAMA to try and get cheap sites for schools.
Around 50 areas, mainly in the east of the country, have been identified as possible school locations.
At the height of the boom the taxpayer was forced to spend millions on sites for schools near housing developments.
Department of Education Assistant Secretary Sean O'Foghlú said talks are underway with NAMA to see if sites can now be achieved at a cheaper cost.
