Gardaí investigate 'suspicious' Cork death

The State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has begun a post mortem examination on the body of a 62-year-old man found in Cork earlier today.

The State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has begun a post mortem examination on the body of a 62-year-old man found in Cork earlier today.

The body was discovered by a relative at a house in the St Lukes Area of the city at around 9.30am this morning.

Gardaií were notified and the house was sealed off for a technical examination.

The body has been moved to Cork University Hospital where Dr Cassidy has begun a post-mortem examination.
