Gilmore: Upton decision 'hasn't derailed Labour plans'

The Labour leader Eamon Gilmore has said he is surprised at Mary Upton's decision to leave politics at the next General Election.

The Dublin South Central TD announced yesterday that she won't be seeking re-election, saying it is time to make way for new blood.

Mr Gilmore said, despite Ms Upton's decision, Labour's plan to win two seats in Dublin South Central "remain on track".
