A 40-year-old man and woman aged 33 have been injured in a stabbing incident in Dublin.

A 40-year-old man and woman aged 33 have been injured in a stabbing incident in Dublin.

It happened at about 11.30pm last night at the junction of Parnell Street and Gardiner Street in the city centre.

The woman suffered a wound to her face, while the man received head injuries.

It is understood that a knife and a bottle were used.

Both have been taken to the Mater hospital in Dublin. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Nobody has been arrested in connection with the incident.
