Gormley backs Taoiseach after apology

The Green Party leader John Gormley has given his backing to the Taoiseach, describing his controversial interview this week as an "off day" for Brian Cowen.

Speaking in Carlow, where the party is concluding its two-day think-in, Minister Gormley said the prolonging of the controversy was a distraction to the Government.
