Monaghan: Gardaí and customs officers uncover diesel-laundering plant

Gardaí, customs officers and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) officers from Monaghan Co Council have uncovered an illegal dump and an illegal diesel-laundering plant near Caltleblaney, Co Monaghan.

A premises at Reban, Shantonagh, Castleblaney was searched this morning. The operation uncovered an illegal dump as well as a diesel-laundering plant.

The area is sealed off and a forensic technical examination of the scene in underway. There were no arrests and the operation is ongoing.
