Labour wants PE included in Leaving Cert curriculum
The Labour Party wants PE to be a Leaving Cert subject.
The party said Physical Education has been neglected in schools, and young people who are interesed in sport should be given the opportunity to study it at Leaving Cert level.
The idea is contained in the party's new sports policy launched today.
Labour's Spokesperson on Sport Mary Upton said making PE a leaving cert subject would make for fitter, healthier young people.
