Woman attacked by stray bull on beach

The husband of a woman injured by a bull in Co Sligo says he is worried that unless something is done to prevent animals roaming onto beaches, there could be a fatality.

Mother-of-four Sonya Byrne from Co Fermanagh was attacked as she walked on Mullaghmore beach with her 11-year-old son.

She was trampled on by the bull and was treated in hospital for her injuries.

Her family are now appealing to the local authority to take action to prevent such attacks happening in the future.
