Five men arrested yesterday as part of a major crackdown on organised crime in Dublin have been released without charge.

Six searches were carried out yesterday morning on premises in Dublin and Kildare during which the five men were detained.

They ranged in age from 28 to 77 and were questioned at Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock and Dundrum Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Gardaí say all five men were released late last night without charge and files are being prepared for the DPP.
