Hopes pinned on 'Project Maths' to reverse results slide

As students prepare to collect their Leaving Certificate results today, concerns are being expressed about the 4,000 students who failed maths.

The number is a slight improvement on last year. This year, maths saw a new teaching approach rolled out in a pilot scheme to 24 schools, called 'Project Maths'.
