57,000 students receive Leaving Certificate results today

More than 57,000 Leaving Certificate students will receive their results today. Schools will open from 9am, while grades can be picked up online at examinations.ie or by phone from midday.

Grades have for the most part remained steady; as in recent years, nearly 10% of ordinary level maths students failed the exam, while fewer than one in five opted for the higher maths paper.
