Gardaí investigate Meath fire

Investigations are underway into the cause of a fire in Co Meath last night.

Investigations are underway into the cause of a fire in Co Meath last night.

The alarm was raised at a grain store in Kilberry at about 7.30pm.

Five units of the fire brigade attended the scene, along with gardaí from Navan.

No-one was injured but the blaze caused extensive damage to the grain and the building itself before it was brought under control a few hours later.

Forensic tests are continuing at the scene this morning and gardaí say the fire is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
