Power to meet Pakistan Ambassador over flooding
Junior Minister Peter Power will today meet with the Ambassador to Pakistan to discuss Ireland's response to the disaster.
Ireland has donated €750,000 in support and its Rapid Response Corps remain on stand-by for deployment.
The United Nations Secretary Ban Ki-Moon has urged foreign donors to speed up aid to the flood-hit country.
Up to 1,600 people have died and around 20 million have been left homeless.
Now fears are growing over the rapid spread of water-borne diseases in the country.
