Former prison governor calls for intervention for children

The former Governor of Mountjoy jail John Lonergan has claimed that prison is a disaster for people with personality disorders.

Mr Lonergan has also come out ahead of a national mental healthcare conference next month to highlight the psychological damage that serious social deprivation does to children.
