PSNI investigates Carrickfergus assault

Detectives in the North are trying to establish a motive for an assault in Carrickfergus.

Three masked men entered a flat in the Kinbayne Crescent area at 11.30pm last night.

One produced a firearm and hit the 18-year-old male occupant in the face. The men then threatened him, before making off.

A 19-year-old woman was also present in the flat at the time, but was unhurt.
