An increase in electricity prices has been given the go-ahead by Energy Minister Eamonn Ryan, it emerged today.

An increase in electricity prices has been given the go-ahead by Energy Minister Eamonn Ryan, it emerged today.

The price hike of 4-5% will come into effect in October.
