Health and safety officials in the North investigating how two young men died in Derry have identified a gas applicance that may have caused their deaths.

The bodies of 18-year-olds Aaron Davidson and Neil McFerran were found at a holiday apartment in Castlerock on Monday night.

Post mortems are being carried out today.

A third youth is recovering in hospital.

The North's Health and Safety Executive says a liquefied petroleum gas fuelled appliance identified at the scene may have acted as a source of carbon monoxide.
