Gardaí investigate attack on students in Donegal

Gardaí in Co Donegal are appealing for information after an assault on a group of Irish college students on Tuesday evening.

The teenagers, were attacked by a gang at Loch an Iúir in the northwest of the county as they were returning home from a football match.

It is believed hurleys were used in the attack.

Some students suffered head injuries, while one member of the group received stitches.
