Eight arrested in drug squad operations

Eight people have been arrested following the seizure of almost €900,000 worth of drugs in Dublin and Meath, it was revealed today.

Two cannabis factories were discovered during one of the operations yesterday. One was in Stillorgan, the other in Kells.

Two men, a woman and a 16-year-old boy were arrested.

In a separate operation, gardaí arrested three men on the Ninth Lough road in Dublin. A quantity of cannabis herb was seized.

Another operation led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man and the discovery of a large quantity of cash at a house in Clonshaugh, North Dublin.
