Contractor injured after Tallaght Hospital fire

An investigation is underway into the cause of today's fire at the Adelaide and Meath Hospital in Tallaght in Dublin.

An investigation is underway into the cause of today's fire at the Adelaide and Meath Hospital in Tallaght in Dublin.

The blaze broke out in the kitchen area of the hospital at 11.40am this afternoon.

There were no patients in the area at the time, however, a contractor was injured and is now being treated at the hospital.

Appointments for this afternoon have been deferred and patients are asked not to attend the hospital.

They will be contacted to reschedule their treatment.
