SIPTU to ballot health workers for industrial action

Members of SIPTU in the HSE West are to be balloted for industrial action following the failure of management to engage in discussions over threatened job cuts.

The union says it is vital to hold a protective strike ballot in case management decides to implement the sort of cuts which have been the centre of speculation recently.
