Green Party pledges action over political donations

Green Party leader John Gormley today pledged to introduce new laws to end corporate and trade union political donations and reform lobbying rules when the Dáil resumes in September.

The Environment Minister said the “inordinate” influence of big business and wealthy individuals on legislation and Government must come to an end.
