Record research grant fund to be announced today

The single largest investment in the history of the State for third-level research will be announced by the Taoiseach today.

UCD and Trinity College Dublin have secured a major share of the €359m funds - to fund about 30 research projects - which the Government hopes will give a sharper commercial focus to research activity.
