Murder trial continues with legal argument

The Westmeath cold-case murder trial continued in the absence of the jury today, while Mr Justice John Edwards discussed legal matters with the lawyers.

The prosecution case has now finished in the trial of Vera McGrath (aged 61) and her former son-in-law, Colin Pinder, who are charged with murdering Mrs McGrath’s husband 23 years ago.
