Three stabbed in Cork incident

Three men were taken to hospital with stab wounds last night after a vicious incident in the Commons Road area of Cork city.

Gardaí were called to Parklands Drive last night at 9.40pm and found one man covered in blood on the ground with multiple stab wounds to his body.

Two other men had also been stabbed in the incident, but their injuries were not thought to be life

threatening.

The garda regional support unit was in the area at the time and gave assistance to most seriously injured man - who is in his early 20s - until paramedics arrived.
