The Taoiseach is defending a 12-week break for the Dáil, insisting it is nonsense to suggest it is to keep the Government safe from tight votes.

The Taoiseach is defending a 12-week break for the Dáil, insisting it is nonsense to suggest it is to keep the Government safe from tight votes.

TDs will leave Leinster House tonight and will not return to the Dáil chamber until September 29.
