McAleese to appoint new Supreme Court judge today

President Mary McAleese will appoint Mr Justice Liam McKechnie as a Judge of the Supreme Court later today.

President Mary McAleese will appoint Mr Justice Liam McKechnie as a Judge of the Supreme Court later today.

The Taoiseach, Minister for Justice and Law Reform and the Attorney General will be in attendance at the event in Áras an Uachtaráin.

The ceremony gets underway at 3pm.
