A group of asylum seekers currently being housed at Mosney in County Meath are threatening to hunger strike, after being told they are to be moved on.

Capacity at the centre is being cut from 800 to 650.

The 150 people were told they're to move just days ahead of the transfers next week, according to reports.

They accuse the authorities of treating them inhumanely and say they will start a hunger strike on Monday, followed by a peaceful protest on Tuesday.
