SF challenges Govt on jobs strategy
The Government is being challenged as to whether its long-promised jobs strategy actually exists.
It follows the release of the latest redundancy figures, which show that so far more than 33,800 people have been laid off this year.
The unemployment crisis will be high on the agenda of Sinn Féin's Ard Comhairle meeting, which takes place in Dublin later.
The party's Vice-President Mary Lou McDonald said the Government must come up with its job plan before the Dáil breaks for the summer.
