A 14-year-old boy remains under armed garda protection this morning following Monday night's double murder in West Dublin.

Brothers Paul and Kenneth Corbally from Ballyfermot were shot dead in their car on the Neilstown road in Clondalkin, in what is believed to have been a contract killing.

The men, who were known to gardaí for their involvement in serious crime, were shot several times by two gunmen.

The teenage boy who was in the back of the car was also shot. He remains under armed guard.

He will be the key witness for gardaí in this investigation.
