Thousands take part in Pride Parade
Thousands of people have marched through the streets of Dublin today as part of the annual Pride Parade.
The theme of this years event was "We Are Family Too", highlighting the fact that many gay, lesbian and transgender families live in legal limbo without recognition from the constitution.
Lydia Foy, a transgender person who this week was the subject of legal battle to be recognised under Irish law as a woman, was the grand marshall. She said it was a proud day for everyone who believes in equality.
