HSE to investigate claims of nepotism

The HSE is to examine the alleged appointment of family members of senior managers to jobs within the organisation, it has emerged today.

It has been reported that the positions were filled in the south of the country without the posts being advertised.

Minister for Health Mary Harney says the chairman of the HSE and its CEO are now looking into the matter.
