Family appeal for information on son missing for ten years

A Limerick family is renewing their appeal for information about their son who went missing ten years ago.

The Shanahan family received two calls, one six years ago and another in March of this year, from a person claiming to have had a fight with their son that "got out of hand".

The Gardaí have carried out an investigation which has so far been unsuccessful in tracing Aengus Shanahan.

The 20-year-old was last seen on St Joseph Street on February 11, 2000, leaving a bar in Limerick city.

His distraught father Robert said any information will help give the family some closure.
