People who choose not to share information on missing persons cases prolong the “misery and agony” of their families, a campaigning priest has said.

A Limerick family is renewing their appeal for information about their son who went missing ten years ago.

FAMILIES and friends of more than 4,000 people who go missing every year believe the Government is ignoring their plea to re-establish a national missing persons’ helpline.

MANY presents are still lying unwrapped under the Christmas tree in homes around the country because their recipients are not around to open them.

THE Government should move immediately to dispel lingering doubts over its long-term commitment to funding a vital helpline in the search for Irish people who go missing.
