Investigation into Anglo Irish Bank several months from completion
The Director of Corporate Enforcement Paul Appleby says it will be several months before his investigation into Anglo Irish Bank is complete.
Launching his office's annual report for 2009, Mr Appleby said a third of his staff have been dedicated to the investigation into the now nationalised lender.
He is warning that it is an "immense challenge", however.
The report reveals a 47% increase in the number of complaints to the office last year, mainly because of a rise in the number of companies going out of business.
