Ten still in custody in connection with 'tiger' kidnapping

Gardaí are continuing to question ten people arrested yesterday as part of a major investigation into the attempted abduction and robbery of a former Kilkenny hurler.

Adrian Ronan, along with his wife Mary and their children, were targeted in the attempted robbery of €3m from Bank of Ireland in Kilkenny city last November.

Six men and four women were arrested in searches across Dublin yesterday and are being questioned at garda stations across the south-east.

One of those in garda custody is understood to have been involved in the a similar tiger kidnapping in February last year, when a gang made off with over €7m from Bank of Ireland on Dublin's College Green.
