Irish airports open until 6pm tomorrow

Airports around Ireland have been cleared to continue operating until at least 6pm tomorrow evening.

The Irish Aviation Authority have said the volcanic ash cloud - which is now 2,400 miles long and 1,250 miles wide - remains to the west and south of the country.

Aer Lingus was forced to cancel a number of flights to and from Spanish airports tonight - after the ash plume drifted into airspace over Spain.
