Man remanded in connection with Doherty shooting

A 26-year-old man charged in connection with the fatal shooting of father of two Wayne Doherty in west Dublin last year has been remanded in custody.

A 26-year-old man charged in connection with the fatal shooting of father of two Wayne Doherty in west Dublin last year has been remanded in custody.

Robert Egan, of Dromheath Avenue, Ladyswell in Dublin 15 is charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life at Oakview Way in Hartstown on July 4 last.

His lawyer made no application for bail during his short appearance before Blanchardstown District Court and he was remanded in custody until Thursday.
