The Mayor of Limerick Kevin Kiely is calling for the Minister for Social Welfare to investigate State payments to Wayne Dundon.

The Mayor of Limerick Kevin Kiely is calling for the Minister for Social Welfare to investigate State payments to Wayne Dundon.

The Limerick man was pictured at the weekend at his daughter's first holy communion, during which a horse-drawn "cinderella style" carriage, complete with two footmen, stopped traffic in the city.

Mayor Kiely estimates the day, including food and clothing, cost the family thousands of euro.

And he wants to know how they could afford it while claiming dole payments.
