Ash cloud delays arrival of Irish soldiers

The first group of Irish troops who were due to arrive home from Chad today have been delayed due to airspace restrictions over Portugal because of the volcanic ash cloud.

The group were due to land into Dublin at 3.30pm today, but are now expected at 3.30am tomorrow morning.
